 6\n\nIn Allusions\, contemporary music ensemble Boston Musica Viva marks t
 he centennial of Arnold Schoenberg's revolutionary 'Pierrot Lunaire' with 
 a program inspired by this 20th-century musical master. 'Suite\, Op. 29' f
 or clarinets and piano quartet displays Schoenberg's playful side as he em
 beds melodic references to his wife among dance movements. William Kraft's
  'Settings from Pierrot Lunaire' (featuring guest soprano Sarah Pelletier)
  was commissioned for the 75th anniversary of the original and sets a diff
 erent compilation of verses from Giraud's celebrated poetry cycle on the a
 rtist's quest for purity. Boston composer Curtis K. Hughes makes music of 
 political banter in his world-premiere sextet 'Verbiage.' Richard Pittman
