 horale will present a concert featuring three of the best known works of B
 enjamin Britten (1913-1976)\, each very different in style and structure. 
 The Ceremony of Carols is a setting of several British carols for chorus a
 nd soloists accompanied by a harp\, and done in the style of an Anglican c
 horal evensong. A Simple Symphony was originally intended as a learning ex
 perience for young musicians in the style of the symphony\, and will be pe
 rformed by a string quintet. Rejoice in the Lamb is a festival cantata for
  four soloists\, choir\, and organ\, and is based on the eighteenth centur
 y poem Jubilate Agno by Christopher Smart.  The soloists for A Ceremony of
  Carols will be Emily Halpern\, Harp\; Kathleen Sharry\, Soprano\; and Joa
 nne Jonsson\, Mezzo-soprano. A Simple Symphony will be played by Alan Hawr
 yluk & Judy Takata\, Violins\; Joan Brayton\, Viola\; Cheryl Campbell\, Ce
 llo\; and Quentin Hodges\, Bass. The accompanist for Rejoice in the Lamb w
 ill be Robert Littlefield\, Organ and the soloists will be Donna Gale\, So
 prano\; Pamela Spencer\, Mezzo-Soprano\; Brendan O' Brine\, Tenor\; and Lo
