 undayconcerts.html.\nAbout the Artists: \n\nKai-Ching Chang is Music Direc
 tor and pianist of A When Notes Fly\, A Chamber Music Ensemble\, which per
 forms an ongoing series of free concerts at Voltage Coffee & Art in Boston
 . Inspired by this innovative series\, award-winning filmmaker Tatyana Bro
 nstein produced a documentary\, When Notes Fly\, based on Ms. Chang's work
 \, in 2012. Ms. Chang recently participated in the El Sistema program in C
 olon\, Venezuela\, where she witnessed the children's incredible passion f
 or music-making and was subsequently awarded Distinguished Visitor of Tach
 ira State. In 2010\, she won the Prix de Musique de Chambre from Fontaineb
 leau School in France and\, as winner of the Longy School of Music Concert
 o Competition in 2008\, performed the Shostakovich Piano Concerto No.1 wit
 h Longy Chamber Orchestra. Ms. Chang performed as a guest artist in the Ha
 rvard University Dudley Arts Chamber Music Series in the 2011-2012 season.
  As a collaborative pianist\, Ms. Chang has appeared as a performing assoc
 iate in International Bowdoin Music Festival and has collaborated with Rog
 er Tapping\, Sergey Antonov\, Jayne West\, Robert Honeysucker\, Carol McGo
 nell\, Meighan Stoops\, Benjamin Shute and Nancy Zhou. In 2005\, she worke
 d as an assistant accompanist in National Symphony Orchestra (Taipei\, Tai
 wan). Kai-Ching has collaborated with composer Paul Brust\, and has premie
 red contemporary works by Amit Gilutz\, JwaBum Saho Kim\, Caroline Park\, 
 Joel Schenk\, and Adam Jacob Simon   www.whennotesfly.com\n \nNancy Zhou w
 as the first prize winner of the 2009 Johansen International Competition a
 nd of the 2009 Chinese International Violin Competition\, a semi-finalist 
 in the 2011 International Tchaikovsky Competition\, a finalist and recipie
 nt of the Rastor special award for the best performance of Kaija Sariaaho'
 s Tocar at the 2010 Sibelius International Violin Competition in Helsinki\
 , Finland and a Laureate of the 2012 Queen Elisabeth Competition.  Zhou ha
 s performed as a soloist with the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra\
 , National Orchestra of Belgium\, Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra\, Finnis
 h Radio Symphony Orchestra\, San Antonio Symphony\, Royal Stockholm Philha
 rmonic Orchestra\, Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie\, Baden-Baden Ph
 ilharmonic\, Kuopio Symphony Orchestra\, Tapiola Sinfonietta\, and several
  other orchestras\, and has performed recitals in Germany\, Switzerland\, 
 Austria\, and the United States.\nZhou was born in San Antonio\, Texas\, a
 nd is a graduate of the Keystone School in San Antonio. She began violin s
 tudy at age four with her father\, Long Zhou\, who continued to be her tea
 cher throughout her youth. She is currently a student of Miriam Fried at N
 ew England Conservatory and also attends Harvard University.
