  Date End: 2013-01-28\n\nFred Buda is a retired drum set player for the Bo
 ston Pops after 35+ years. He has been heard on countless recordings and b
 een seen on televised programs swinging the Boston Pops under the baton of
  Arthur Fiedler\, John Williams\, and Keith Lockhart. An alumnus of the He
 rb Pomeroy Big Band\, Buda leads the Jazz Pops All-Stars Ensemble and Jazz
  Pops Swing Ensemble.  Fred is a retired principal timpanist for the Bosto
 n Ballet Orchestra\, and now serves as the new personnel manager for the B
 oston Ballet.  Mr. Buda is the supervisor of orchestral personnel for the 
 Wang Center for the Performing Arts and the Shubert Theatre in Boston\, MA
 .  Fred Buda currently serves on the faculties of the New England Conserva
 tory and the University of Massachusetts-Lowell teaching drum set and perc
 ussion. Mr. Buda formerly served as chair of percussion at the Berklee Col
 lege of Music.Fred Buda is a Zildjian Artist and Yamaha Clinician.\n\nStar
