  in the performance of Western music from the Middle Ages to the early 19t
 h century.  The spring program explores the soundscape of the streets of L
 ondon at the time of diarist and Parliament member Samuel Pepys.  Offering
 s will include change ringing on the college's carillon\, street cries\, b
 ird song and songs about birds\, country dances (both played and danced)\,
  broadside ballad tunes (both sly and earnest) and readings from Pepys's d
 iary.
