 ll be held on Wednesday\, February 13 in Sharon as part of the festive cel
 ebrations of the Jewish holiday of Purim and the Hebrew month of Adar.\nKa
 haney has appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman\, the Late Late S
 how with Craig Ferguson\, the Joy Behar Show and NBC's Last Comic Standing
 . She was voted best comedian in New York City by Backstage Magazine and h
 as had her own comedy specials on Comedy Central and HBO.\nThe event\, cal
 led Cocktails\, Caring and Comedy\, is part of an annual program geared fo
 r women in the South area. It is sponsored by the Jewish Community Centers
  of Greater Boston and will be held at Temple Israel of Sharon (125 Pond S
 treet) at 7pm. Co-sponsors include Temple Israel Sisterhood (Sharon)\, Tem
 ple Sinai (Sharon)\, Temple Beth Abraham (Canton)\, Congregation Sha'aray 
 Shalom (Hingham)\, Temple Kol Tikvah of Sharon\, Temple Adath (Sharon)\, A
 havath Torah Congregation (Stoughton)\, Temple Beth Emunah (Brockton)\, Te
 mple Chayai Shalom (Easton)\, Hadassah\, Mayyim Hayyim\, Temple Beth Am (R
 andolph) and Heights Crossing Assisted Living (Brockton).\nParticipants ar
 e asked to bring a pair of women's or children's pajamas or slippers or a 
 used cell phone to the event to donate to New Hope\, a South Shore organiz
 ation that works to end domestic and sexual violence.\nCocktails\, Caring 
 and Comedy is a program of the Ryna Greenbaum JCC Center for the Arts and 
 is open to the entire community. Cost is $20. Register by February 4 at ww
