 s\, a repeated harmonic pattern\, forms the basis of some of the most memo
 rable music from the 17th century. English consorts\, Italian dances\, Spa
 nish divisions and Scots tunes all relied on grounds as a common currency.
  In a program that showcases this beloved genre\, Seven Times Salt explore
 s the many guises of the ground bass from &ldquo\;Greensleeves&rdquo\; to 
 &ldquo\;La Follia&rdquo\; and beyond. This program\, originally premiered 
 as a collaboration with violinist David Douglass\, features music by Purce
 ll\, Matteis\, Uccellini\, Rossi\, Zanetti\, and others. We include choice
  selections from The Division Violin\, The English Dancing Master\, and or
 iginal compositions by David Douglass. Karen Burciaga - violin & viola\nDa
