  century. English consorts\, Italian dances\, Spanish divisions and Scots 
 tunes all relied on grounds as a common currency. In a program that showca
 ses this beloved genre\, Seven Times Salt explores the many guises of the 
 ground bass from &ldquo\;Greensleeves&rdquo\; to &ldquo\;La Follia&rdquo\;
  and beyond. This program\, originally premiered as a collaboration with v
 iolinist David Douglass\, features music by Purcell\, Matteis\, Uccellini\
 , Rossi\, Zanetti\, and others. We include choice selections from The Divi
 sion Violin\, The English Dancing Master\, and original compositions by Da
