  is a delightful labyrinth of narrow streets and exotic marketplaces. The 
 walking tour of the North End makes a perfect companion to Boston By Foot'
 s Heart of the Freedom Trail tour continuing on through second mile of Bos
 ton's famous historic walk. A gateway for immigrants from around the world
 \, the North End is also home to the Old North Church\, Copp's Hill Buryin
 g Ground\, and the Paul Revere House.  This neighborhood was isolated from
  the rest of downtown by the construction the old Central Artery in the 19
 50's\, meaning the North End remained largely preserved from modern develo
 pment. Just before entering the North End\, you will be greeted by the new
  North End parks of the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway. Walking among th
 e Italian markets and downtown Boston's largest collection of colonial bui
 ldings\, you'll hear the story of a changing neighborhood: the sermons and
  deeds of the Reverend Mathers\;  the exploits of Paul Revere\; the rise o
 f the Fitzgeralds and their Irish brethren\; the fall of a whole lot of mo
