 refuses to answer it. Martin Crimp's groundbreaking 1997 play paints a por
 trait of an identity fragmented by the lens of our modern\, globalized soc
 iety. Over the course of seventeen disjointed scenes\, we encounter Anne a
 s a terrorist\, a victim of genocide\, an artist\, a suicide case\, a moth
 er\, a daughter\, a porn star\, a brand of car\, and ultimately\, none of 
 the above. This multi-lingual and multi-media production in the Loeb Ex il
 luminates Crimp's dark\, mesmeric vision of the world and challenges us to
