  a lecture-recital\, with insights by John Rhodes of the Wellesley art dep
 artment. The Trio will explore music written in the shadow of the First Wo
 rld War\, from the period between 1915 and 1923. The great variety and ric
 hness of the work which blossomed during these years was fertilized by an 
 increasing nationalistic fervor\, the anguishing horrors of war\, and new
