 -17\n\nMoon viewing\, wine\, horses\, and magic spells: Yamamoto Noritoshi
  and the Yamamoto Kyogen Company present two traditional kyogen plays: Tsu
 kimizato (blind moon gazing)\, unique to the Yamamoto school\, and Shidoho
 gaku (a horse and a magic spell). Kyogen\, which originated as the compani
 on pieces to the noh tragedies in the fourteenth century\, are short mimet
 ic skits about the foolish foibles of ordinary people. The simple plots an
 d skillful mime make them easily accessible and highly popular even today.
  Yamamoto Noritoshi is a member of the Okura School in Tokyo\, and has bee
 n designated an Intangible Cultural Asset by the Japanese government. The 
 program will have English subtitles. The North American tour of Yamamoto K
 yogen is organized and produced by Japan Society of New York\, and is supp
 orted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.  Wellesley College performance
  is supported by Wellesley Committee for Lectures and Cultural Events\, We
 llesley Theater Studies\, and Japan Society of Boston.\n\nStart time: 7 pm
