 el Garden Antiques in Katonah\, New York in 1985\, after a serendipitous p
 urchase of a large collection of estate statuary led her down the garden a
 ntiques path. Twenty-five years and hundreds of exquisite objects later\, 
 Barbara Israel is recognized as an authority on the subject. In a sumptuou
 sly-illustrated lecture\, she discusses the influence of European landscap
 e traditions as well as American interpretations of garden ornament.  Tea
