 amond joins Brookline Music School for a jazz piano masterclass on Sunday\
 , March 21 at 3:00pm in Bakalar Recital Hall. Students playing jazz standa
 rds\, blues pieces\, rags\, etc. will participate.  Harvey Diamond is one 
 of the most accomplished pianists in the Boston area. His career in jazz s
 pans more than 50 years\, from his first gigs as a teenager in hometown of
  San Francisco\, to performing across the U.S. and Europe\, accompanying c
 elebrated jazz singer Sheila Jordan and trumpeter Art Farmer and others. H
 arvey was a long-time student of Lennie Tristano\, known throughout the wo
 rld as a jazz innovator\, and received his bachelor's degree in music from
  San Francisco State. He has been a faculty member at the Berklee College 
 of Music and is currently on the faculty of the Winchester Community Schoo
 l of Music. He combines performing with teaching both adult and young stud
