Based on Gogol's classic short story, 'The Nose' tells the story of an average guy who wakes up one morning with an unusual dilemma: his nose has run away from his face! He pursues it through the streets, offices, and landmarks of St. Petersburg in this satirical romp that offers non-stop action for cast and orchestra alike. The ensemble cast is led by Stephen Salters as Kovalyov, Torrance Blaisdell as The Nose, and Bolshoi Opera bass Vladimir Matorin as the Barber. 'The Nose' will be conducted by Opera Boston Music Director Gil Rose. Julia Pevzner, an internationally-acclaimed director, will make her Opera Boston debut. Sung in Russian with projected English titles.
