Part fairy tale, part horror story, part parable, The Pillowman is an ode to storytelling that promises to shock and inspire.  Katurian, a failed writer, is in trouble with the police of a totalitarian state. According to interrogators, his tales about murdering children, such as 'The Little Green Pig' and 'The Crucifixion Girl,' have come to life. The writer and his 'simple' brother, Michal, are the main suspects.  Personal histories as dark and twisted as Katurian's grisly stories are revealed as the interrogators torture and manipulate the brothers into confessing the shocking crimes. Is a killer born or created?  'The Pillowman' played on Broadway in 2005 and won two Tony Awards, two Drama Desk Awards, an Outer Critics Circle Award, a Drama Critics Circle Award. It also won Britain¹s Laurence Olivier Award for Best Play.  The Footlight Club production features Rishi Basu (Tupolski), Jason Tennis (Katurian), Zach LeClair (Ariel), Brian Moyer (Michal), Laurie Fisher (Mother), and Angel Garcia (Father). Daniel Bender Stern and Emily Sheeran will play the children's roles.  Parental advisory: 'The Pillowman' is intended for mature audiences. It includes strong language and depicts unsettling situations.
