In attempt to make a stylistic departure, Fellini communicates his characters' hopes, dreams, fears, passions, and inspirations. The series includes I vitelloni, La strada, and Nights of Cabiria, three of Fellini's earlier efforts, which demonstrate his interest in a character's emotions.
