DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Event Name: The Films of Federico Fellini=0D=0AEvent Url: http://www.artsboston.org/event/detail/440771485=0D=0AEvent Date Begin: 2010-06-16=0D=0AEvent Date End: 2010-06-27=0D=0A=0D=0AFederico Fellini (1920–1993) began working as a screenwriter on such Italian neorealist landmark films as Rome, Open City and Paisà, but by the time he took the director's chair in 1950, he was starting to question the genre's principles and its focus on socioeconomics. In attempt to make a stylistic departure, Fellini communicates his characters' hopes, dreams, fears, passions, and inspirations. The series includes I vitelloni, La strada, and Nights of Cabiria, three of Fellini's earlier efforts, which demonstrate his interest in a character's emotions. With 8 ½, Fellini abandons any interest in reality, creating his own personal fantasy world.=0D=0A=0D=0AStart time:Wednesday, June 16 at 5:30 PM Thursday, June 17 at 3:40 PM Friday, June 18 at 2:50 PM, 7:30 PM Saturday, June 19 at 10:15 AM, 1:00 PM Sunday, June 20 at 10:30 AM Thursday, June 24 at 2:30 PM, 5:20 PM Friday, June 25 at 5:15 PM, 7:30 PM Saturday, June 26 at 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM, 4:30 PM Sunday, June 27 at 12:00 PM
