DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Event Name: Side-By-Side-By-Sondheim Musical Revue=0D=0AEvent Url: http://www.artsboston.org/event/detail/440818141=0D=0AEvent Date Begin: 2010-08-06=0D=0AEvent Date End: 2010-08-15=0D=0A=0D=0AMark your calendar now for Marblehead Little Theatre's Side-By-Side-By-Sondheim, a tribute to composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim, which will come to 12 School Street, Marblehead, MA August 6-8 and 13-15. Show times are 8 p.m. with an additional show on both Sundays at 2 p.m. Director Anne Lucas, producer Doug Hill, and music director Betty Lautner, all of Marblehead, have assembled a cast of talented singers that will explore Sondheim's upbeat and lyrically complex work before 1976. In the spirit of MLT's Jacques Brel revue, which played to sold-out crowds last year, Side-By-Side-By-Sondheim will honor the composer and lyricist, who turned 80 years old this year, by presenting his most popular and accessible songs. Many of these songs were written with others, including Leonard Bernstein, Jules Stein, and Richard Rodgers. Cast members include Karin Anderson of Peabody, Danielle Cotter of Salem, Tom Edmonds of Beverly, Nora Falk of Marblehead, Anne Lucas of Marblehead, Liana Pacilli of Winchester, Jim Robinson of Lynn, and David Scannell of Peabody. Guest performers include Henry Dembowski and David Allen George (appearing Aug. 6), Dr. Alison Brookes (appearing Aug. 7), Bobby Kerrigan (appearing Aug. 8 at 2 p.m.), Judith Black (appearing Aug. 8 at 8 p.m.),, Amy Malkoff (appearing Aug. 13), Greg Mancuso-Ungaro (appearing Aug. 14), and Betty Lautner (appearing Aug. 15 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.).
