Menino's Office of Arts, Tourism & Special Events is happy to announce the eighth annual Waterfront Performing Arts Series. The series, sponsored by the Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy, takes place on Tuesday evenings, 6 – 8 pm, from August 3rd to August 24th at Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park. This year's program features a mix of artistic genres including opera, American standards, jazz, Celtic music and a theatrical performance. This summer's complete series includes,  August 3:  A North End Salute, featuring Lirica Italiana and Adam Herbert: An evening of classic arias, favorite Neapolitan songs, and a tribute to Frank Sinatra.  August 10:  Sarah Borges and the Broken Singles:  A delightful meld of the high-lonesome vibe of classic country with the hardscrabble attitude of old-school alt-rock.  August 17:  A Celtic Night with Laura Cortese:  Welding the propulsive grace of ancient fiddle styles to disarmingly open-hearted original pop songs  August 24:  Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged):  A bawdy parody of the plays written by William Shakespeare with all of them being performed (in shortened form) during the show by only three actors.  =0D=0A=For further information visit www.cityofboston.gov/arts or call (617) 635-3911=0D=0A=0D=0AStart time:6-8pm
