They were influenced by a broad variety of styles such as Musique Concret, Avantgarde, Krautrock and Improvisation and released numerous recordings of surrealistic music collages. After the group split up in 1993, Heemann worked as a solo artist and with the group Mimir (with Jim O'Rourke and Edward Kaspel), the Drone projects Mirror (with Andrew Chalk) and In Camera (with Timo van Luyck). Heemann's solo works are often described as films for the ear. He creates audio stories combining outdoor recordings, electronic and electro-acoustic sounds. Heemann is also active in numerous collaborations (e.g. with Jim O'Rourke, Lee Ranaldo, Charlemagne Palestine, WIlliam Basinski) and as a producer (e.g. for Keiji Haino, Charlemagne Palestine, Limpe Fuchs).
