A. Hanfmann Curator of Ancient Art, and Head, Division of Asian and Mediterranean Art, Harvard Art Museums=0D=0A==0D=0A=Eternally youthful yet sufficiently worn to evoke an ancient past, this fragmentary statue of a hero, probably Meleager, has been a powerful presence in Harvard's museum galleries ever since Edith Forbes (the mother of future Fogg director Edward Forbes) lent it to the Fogg in 1899.
