Varney Miller on Saturday, November 20, at 10:00 am at the Georgetown Peabody Library. Tickets are $15.  Barry, a resident of Salem, MA, and author of The Lace Reader, will speak about her book The Map of True Places. Georgetown resident Harriet B. Varney Miller will discuss her book, Birth of the Phoenix. The presentations will be followed by a question and answer period.  Books by both authors will be available for purchase after the event. Refreshments will be served.  The event is a fundraiser for both organizations. AAUW is a national organization that &ldquo;advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research.&rdquo; Its share of funds from this event will be used to sponsor a college student attendance at the AAUW's National Conference for College Women Student Leaders. The Friends of Georgetown Peabody Library will put its portion toward library community programs, including a book discussion group for teens and the purchase of passes to  museums.=0D=0A=0D=0AStart time:10:00 am
