On Sunday, December 5th, at 4:00 PM we will present the cantata, “A Light Through the Ages”, which will recount the meaning of Chanukah throughout history, in story and song. The original text by Rabbi Howard A. Berman weaves a chronicle of Chanukah in many times and places over the centuries. Choral selections from each historic period will be performed by a chamber orchestra and choir including some of Boston's most prominent musicians.=0D=0A==0D=0A==0D=0A==0D=0A=Many of the communal celebrations of this holiday are focused on families with young children. However, Chanukah has deep spiritual meaning and reflects messages of major contemporary importance for people of all ages. Boston Jewish Spirit is excited to offer this unique opportunity to experience the inspiration and broader significance of this cherished celebration. People of all faiths are invited to this special event that will be held at our shared home at Emmanuel Church, which is located in Boston's Back Bay at 15 Newbury Street (at the corner of Arlington Street). =0D=0A==0D=0A==0D=0A==0D=0A=We hope that you will join us for this special event which is free to the community.
