SUMMARY:Old Ship Coffeehouse Mark Purcell concert
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Event Name: Old Ship Coffeehouse Mark Purcell concert=0D=0AEvent Url: http://www.artsboston.org/event/detail/441061873=0D=0AEvent Date Begin: 2011-01-15=0D=0AEvent Date End: 2011-01-15=0D=0A=0D=0AThe Old Ship Coffeehouse off the Square will feature local singer-songwriter Mark Purcell on Saturday, January 15. Mark has been a major part of the downtown Hingham entertainment scene for nearly a decade, with regular gigs at the Snug and Salsa's and occasionally at the summer Square Market in downtown Hingham – and beyond. (If you have seen him in these lively settings but now want to really hear him, this is your chance!) This engaging performer captivates us with expressive guitar and harmonica playing, full-bodied songs that include some excellent originals (ask for “One of Those People”), and warm, easy interaction with the audience. The concert begins with an open microphone at 8 p.m. Please bring a non-perishable food item as a donation to the Hingham and Hull food pantries! Admission is $12 at the door (sorry, no reservations). Beverages and desserts are $1 each. Net proceeds benefit the Unitarian-Universalist Service Committee. For more information or to volunteer (free admission!) call 781-749-1767 or visit www.hinghambroadcastnews.com or http://bostoncoffeehouses.org/Old Ship/Old Ship.html. The Coffeehouse off the Square is at the Old Ship Church Parish Hall, 107 Main St., in Hingham Square just up from the Loring Hall Theater and on the MBTA's 220 bus from Quincy Center, and a long but scenic walk from the West Hingham commuter rail station.=0D=0A=0D=0AStart time:8 p.m.
