The display will feature masses of dark blue cineraria, daffodils, fragrant Hyacinths, and orchids, luminous against a background of green. Orange- and lemon-flowered Clivia harmonize with orange Abutilon striatum, or flowering maple, and miniature orange trees known as Calamondin. Believed to be native to China, Calamondin are prized in Southeast Asia for their fruit.=0D=0A==0D=0A=The Clivia shown in the courtyard are very large old plants. The orange Clivia minata have been in the Gardner collection for over 40 years. The newer yellow-flowered specimens came from the nursery collection of Allen Haskell in New Bedford, Massachusetts.=0D=0A==0D=0A=Please note that, due to unfortunate conditions which prohibited sufficient plant growth,=0D=0A=the Gardner's traditional April display of 15 to 20-foot-long nasturtium=0D=0A=vines will not be on view this year.=0D=0A=0D=0AStart time:11:00 AM
