This workshop will explore why early childhood music is important and the types of music experiences that are most beneficial to young children.=0D=0A==0D=0A=Cynthia Taggart is professor of music education and area chair of music education at the Michigan State University College of Music where she also directs and teaches in the Early Childhood Music and Young Musicians Program of the MSU Community Music School.  She teaches early childhood music methods, elementary general music methods, research, and measurement and evaluation.
