Their music ranges from Latin jazz to funk-infused timba to reggae renditions of salsa classics. The group is comprised of Dominican percussionist/singer Vicente Lebr&oacute;n, singer/bassist Alex Alvear (Ecuador), trombonist Angel Subero (Venezuela), and keyboardist Matt Jenson (Boston). =0D=0A==0D=0A=The Tito Puente Latin Music Series takes place in June, July, and August at outdoor locations across Boston. The seven-concert series is an infectious soundscape of salsa, timba, mambo, bolero, jazz, funk, soul, groove, and more. Performers include Berklee faculty, students, alumni, and world-renowned artists from Puerto Rico, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Cuba, and throughout Latin America. =0D=0A==0D=0A=Tito Puente Latin Music Series is presented by Berklee College of Music, Villa Victoria Center for the Arts, ParkARTS, and the Mayor's Office of Arts, Tourism and Special Events. The series is part of Berklee's Summer in the City, which features over 80 free outdoor concerts throughout the Boston area from May to September.
