A commissioned gift to the community, Cape Cod Impressions, composed by Alex Temple, musically depicts the Cape's seaside towns. Verdi's Overture to Nabucco adds drama, juxtaposing gentle variations of oboe and clarinet with the driving intensity of strings and stately brass. Van Cliburn Gold Medalist Jon Nakamatsu's charismatic performing style accentuates the muscular style of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3. John Williams' Happy Birthday Variations creates a Hollywood ending with a set of dazzling orchestral variations.=0D=0A==0D=0A=Malcolm Arnold - Anniversary Overture=0D=0A=Cohen & Nardo - Cape Cod Impressions=0D=0A=Giuseppe Verdi - Overture to Nabucco =0D=0A=Ludwig van Beethoven - Concerto No. 3 in C minor for Piano and Orchestra, Op. 37=0D=0A=Arr.
