He is the person behind the wonderful Excavated Shellac website, which focuses solely on rare 78 rpm recordings of vernacular music from around the world, coupled with extensive commentary. In 2010, Dust-to-Digital released his first compilation, Excavated Shellac: Strings on their vinyl imprint Parlotone. The LP contained 14 exemplary performances on string instruments from across the globe, all from his collection of 78s. In October of this year, Dust-to-Digital will release Ward's extraordinary 4-CD Pan-African box set titled Opika Pende: Africa at 78 rpm, which will feature 100 tracks that have never before been issued on CD, along with a 112-page book.=0D=0A==0D=0A=This program is supported in part by a grant from the Brookline Commission for the Arts, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.=0D=0A=0D=0AStart time:8pm
