SUMMARY:The Art of Collaboration: Making Collage
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Event Name: The Art of Collaboration: Making Collage=0D=0AEvent Url: http://www.artsboston.org/event/detail/441416107=0D=0AEvent Date Begin: 2011-11-13=0D=0AEvent Date End: 2011-11-13=0D=0A=0D=0ATeam Tolstoy has met for over a year, pacing through an old edition of War and Peace, creating collages out of each page of the original text. They will exhibit their project next summer at Yasnaya Polyana, the Leo Tolstoy Museum and Estate in Tula, Russia.=0D=0A=Based on their model, be inspired to create a collaborative collage project of your own. Bring a text that speaks to you – poetry, literature or music – that you are willing to sacrifice to a series of collages. Choose a number of them to work on, making individual collages in small groups. Learn about Team Tolstoy's process, materials and methods. Attend by yourself or bring a friend or two. Working as a group brings a special kind of energy and excitement, a nice mix-up for solitary art-making.=0D=0A==0D=0A=Instructors: Lola Baltzell, Emma Rhodes, Lynn Waskelis and other collaborators in The War and Peace Project=0D=0A=0D=0AStart time:1PM-4PM
