DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Event Name: A Choral Holiday=0D=0AEvent Url: http://www.artsboston.org/event/detail/441417657=0D=0AEvent Date Begin: 2011-12-17=0D=0AEvent Date End: 2011-12-17=0D=0A=0D=0AJoin Boston Choral Ensemble and the Choirs of Marlborough High School for a special holiday concert on Saturday, December 17th at 3:00 pm at Boston's Old South Church. The choirs will sing repertoire both old and new for the holiday season including Morten Lauridsen's ravishingly beautiful O Magnum Mysterium, Judith Weir's My Guardian Angel, and the ever-popular Charlie Brown Christmas. Audiences will also enjoy carols for congregation, including the timeless classic O Come, All Ye Faithful, accompanied by the church's world-famous organ, and such seasonal favorites as The Twelve Days of Christmas and Silent Night.=0D=0A=A Choral Holiday is a special addition to Boston Choral Ensemble's 2011-2012 season, which was first conceived in 2010 to commemorate the choir's 10th anniversary. Based on the rousing success of last year's performance, featuring a guest choir from Winchester High School, A Choral Holiday has become an annual tradition. Under the leadership of Boston Choral Ensemble director Andrew Shenton, A Choral Holiday demonstrates the choir's commitment to blending classic works with innovative pieces from the modern era, while providing an entertaining afternoon full of holiday cheer for the whole family.=0D=0A=0D=0AStart time:3:00 pm
