The theme of the concert will focus on popular American favorites, such as Gershwin's “Porgy and Bess”, Copland's “Outdoor Overture”, Chadwick's Jubilee from “Symphonic Sketches” and Hanson's Symphony No. 2, Op. 30, “Romantic”.   Joyce Kulhawik's appearance will be a highlight as she narrates Aaron Copland's “Lincoln Portrait.”    Ms. Kulhawik is an esteemed and charismatic journalist, arts advocate, as well as three- time cancer survivor.  She has been the recipient of the Governor's Award at the 33rd National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Boston/New England Emmy Awards, co-host of nationally syndicated shows, and guest narrator with the Boston Pops and other orchestras.    Additionally, Joyce is the Honorary Chairperson of the American Cancer Society's Massachusetts Daffodil Days.
