The theme of the concert will focus on popular American favorites, such as Gershwin's &ldquo;Porgy and Bess&rdquo;, Copland's &ldquo;Outdoor Overture&rdquo;, Chadwick's Jubilee from &ldquo;Symphonic Sketches&rdquo; and Hanson's Symphony No. 2, Op. 30, &ldquo;Romantic&rdquo;.   Joyce Kulhawik's appearance will be a highlight as she narrates Aaron Copland's &ldquo;Lincoln Portrait.&rdquo;    Ms. Kulhawik is an esteemed and charismatic journalist, arts advocate, as well as three- time cancer survivor.  She has been the recipient of the Governor's Award at the 33rd National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Boston/New England Emmy Awards, co-host of nationally syndicated shows, and guest narrator with the Boston Pops and other orchestras.    Additionally, Joyce is the Honorary Chairperson of the American Cancer Society's Massachusetts Daffodil Days.
