More than a connoisseur, Bode saw himself also as a cultural historian, and, when planning installations, felt it his duty to consider the context in which works were created. This lecture will examine Bode's mode of presentation, his legacy in Germany and the United States (including the foundation of the Busch-Reisinger Museum), and his relevance for modern museums.=0D=0A==0D=0A=Free admission.
