SUMMARY:Paul Goodman Changed My Life
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Event Name: Paul Goodman Changed My Life=0D=0AEvent Url: http://www.artsboston.org/event/detail/441489007=0D=0AEvent Date Begin: 2012-01-04=0D=0AEvent Date End: 2012-01-08=0D=0A=0D=0APaul Goodman Changed My Life, which screened at this year's Film Festival, will return early in 2012 at the Museum of Fine Arts for an extended run. Paul Goodman could have been the '60s least known famous man, even though he wrote the book Growing Up Absurd and was the one of the leading purveyors of Gestalt therapy. Goodman was an untraditional family man, openly bisexual in the '40s. The movie was directed by Jonathan Lee of Maine. “Paul Goodman Changed My Life” pays tribute to a man — poet, teacher, social critic, guru without portfolio — whose name was once a household word and whose books were talismans of intellectual seriousness and social concern. His current obscurity is something this documentary, directed by Jonathan Lee and including eloquent testimony from friends, family and admirers, is determined to overcome.' - A.O.
