Students in grades K-5 can explore the worlds of both theatre and visual arts with WCT and the ACA, while students in grades 6-9 can experience intensive performance & technical workshops with WCT and New Rep! Register for the morning session (10:00 am &ndash; 1:00 pm) or the afternoon session (1:30 pm &ndash; 4:00 pm) or both! Students enrolled in both programs may bring a nut-free lunch and will be supervised during the lunch break.=0D=0A==0D=0A=Join us to experience everything the Arsenal Center for the Arts has to offer!=0D=0A==0D=0A=Grades K-9=0D=0A=Tuition: $40 per session, $75 for both=0D=0A=Date: January 16=0D=0A=Location: Arsenal Center for the Arts=0D=0A==0D=0A=Morning Session, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm:=0D=0A=&bull; Kindergarten - 5th Grade=0D=0A==0D=0A=Playing with Puppetry - Create some wonderful hand puppets that will let you 'Tell a Story' at the end of the class.=0D=0A==0D=0A=Clowning Around - This class allows students a burst of silly, creative energy as they free their imaginations and work on creative collaboration, imagination and how to be a clown!=0D=0A==0D=0A=&bull; 6th - 9th Grade=0D=0A==0D=0A=Improv and Physical Comedy - Explore the spontaneous art of &ldquo;Louder! Faster! Funnier!&rdquo; improvisation and how to leave an audience in stitches! This fun, high energy workshop teaches students to create characters and tell their stories in the blink of an eye.=0D=0A==0D=0A=Dancing on Broadway - This class will explore the different styles of dance most commonly used in theater and build students' knowledge of dance combinations and terminology. Students will become familiar with a wide array of essential dance styles, from classical to contemporary Broadway musicals.=0D=0A==0D=0A=Afternoon Session, 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm:=0D=0A=&bull; Kindergarten - 5th Grade=0D=0A==0D=0A=Design a Play House - Using a variety of materials, students will design a model for the play house of their dreams! A tree house with swings, ladders, animals, scooters &ndash; or a cave, covered with plants! We will help you create a fabulous space.=0D=0A==0D=0A=Make a Scene - Students will use their imaginations to interpret stories into scenes, bringing them to life in a whole new way!=0D=0A==0D=0A=&bull; 6th - 9th Grade=0D=0A==0D=0A=Singing for Broadway - Learn important musical theatre skills, like interpretation of text and lyrics to create characters and strengthen vocal technique!=0D=0A==0D=0A=From Booth to Stage - An introduction to a range of skills designers use in scenic design, lighting design, and other technical aspects of the theatre.
