Darwish is a strikingly original Palestinian poet born in Palestine whose poetry has been translated to more than 25 languages worldwide and extensively published in the US. Khalifé's new concert program, Fall of the Moon: An Homage to the Poet Mahmoud Darwish, revisits and re-imagines the ties that bound these two powerful iconic advocates of Arab culture, one that weaves the rich complexities of its great history, the diversity of its cultures with the humanity and longing of today and deeply expressed by the dawn of the current monumental events of the Arab spring sweeping the Arab world.=0D=0A==0D=0A=Marcel Khalife will be accompanied by his 12 member Al Mayadine ensemble.=0D=0A==0D=0A=1- Marcel Khalife- composer, oud, vocals=0D=0A=2- Oumaima Khalil- vocals=0D=0A=3- Yolla Khalife- vocals=0D=0A=4- Rami Khalife- piano=0D=0A=5- Anthony Millet- accordion=0D=0A=6- Mark Helias- double bass=0D=0A=7- Kinan Idnawi- oud=0D=0A=8- Feras Sharestan: qanoun=0D=0A=9- Omar Guey: violin=0D=0A=10- Ismail Lumanovski- clarinet=0D=0A=11- Aleksandar Petrov- percussion=0D=0A=12- Bachar Khalife=0D=0A==0D=0A=Co-sponsored by:=0D=0A=Boston Palestine Film Festival=0D=0A=The Center for Arabic Culture=0D=0A=Palestine Children Relief Fund=0D=0A==0D=0A=Supported by:=0D=0A=Berklee School of Music=0D=0A=Lenox Hotel (www.lenoxhotel.com)=0D=0A=0D=0AStart time:8 pm
