His first three albums ('1', '2', & '3'), released from 1998 to 2000 and packaged in monochromatic blue, red, and yellow sleeves, are classics of abstract dub techno, marrying fantastically deep bass with crispy crackles and pops. In 2011, after an extended period of relative quiet, Betke released a beautiful pair of new Pole 12's, 'Waldgeschichten' 1 & 2, that marked a return (with subtle variations) to the original Pole formula.
