It features a quintet of veteran Boston musicians with Rick Hammett, trumpet and tenor sax; Joe Bargar, keys and vocals; Ed Lucie, bass; Bobby 'guitar' Gus, guitar; and Kenny Hadley on the drums. They've worked with Aretha, Stevie Wonder, Buddy Rich, and Otis Rush to name just a few. This year we bring together music from the Beatles, Stevie Wonder and Wayne Shorter to share them from a jazz perspective. Brazilian rhythms and back beats provide texture for jazz harmonies and hits while allowing the melodies be soothing. We will feature drummer and percussionist Reagan Gibson, bassist Derek Van Wormer, Michael Carey on flute and saxophone. Also, there we'll have vocalist Jess Cooper and surprise guitarist that Zumix-ers will love.=0D=0A=--------------------------------------=0D=0A=Friday, May 4th - 8:30pm=0D=0A==0D=0A=Marlene del Rosario sings and plays originals and jazz standards in an intimate trio of piano, guitar and acoustic bass.
