DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Event Name: Mythos:Pathos=0D=0AEvent Url: http://www.artsboston.org/event/detail/441623877=0D=0AEvent Date Begin: 2012-08-03=0D=0AEvent Date End: 2012-08-04=0D=0A=0D=0ALuminarium Dance will debut its new full-length performance throughout August. The work will explore lesser-known characters and under-examined storylines of Greek mythology from a contemporary viewpoint. Artistic Directors Merli V.Guerra and Kimberleigh A Holman are proud to weave the familiar myths into a cohesive saga, while coloring the production with innovative choreography. Mythos:Pathos also features unusual lighting design by Matthew Breton, that manifests in many unique ways, from wearable to handheld lighting. This new work will incorporate materials donated by the communities of Somerville and Watertown that will be used to construct installations on and offstage. =0D=0A==0D=0A=Luminarium plans to preview the project at the Center for Arts at the Armory in early August. The company will also be holding master classes at the Armory one weekend prior to the show opening. In late August, Luminarium will bring an evolved form of the project to the Arsenal Center for the Arts, for a one-week residency.
