The course will meet twice weekly beginning September 2012.  =0D=0A==0D=0A=The program is a professional training in the fundamentals of acting. It is precisely modeled after the first year of the two-year training that Sanford Meisner devised and taught successfully for decades. Award-winning actors from Robert Duvall to Sam Rockwell, Diane Keaton to Sandra Bullock, are trained in Meisner. The training prepares the actor to work professionally with a keen sense of truth and the instinct for genuine contact, committed action, and spontaneous expressive behavior.=0D=0A==0D=0A=The Meisner Foundation Training is structured as a progressive series of seven, four-week sessions. An eighth, six-week summer session completes the program:=0D=0A==0D=0A=Session 1: Contact, Point of View, Working-Off=0D=0A=Session 2: The Independent Activity   =0D=0A=Session 3: Higher Stakes ?    =0D=0A=Session 4: Working with Text I=0D=0A=Session 5: Daydreams, Fantasy, and the Creative Imagination=0D=0A=Session 6: Life and Death =0D=0A=Session 7: Messy Relationships=0D=0A=Session 8: Working with Text II (Summer)=0D=0A==0D=0A==0D=0A=Master teacher Scott Fielding directs and leads The Meisner Foundation Training. Mr. Fielding was privileged to train in Meisner technique with Suzanne Esper at New York's William Esper Studio. After graduating, he was invited into a third year of advanced training with Bill Esper. Mr. Esper, who was trained by and worked closely with Sandy Meisner for many years, is widely regarded as the foremost authority on Meisner technique. In addition to his Meisner expertise, Mr. Fielding has twenty-five years experience directing, acting and teaching with the Chekhov method. An internationally awarded stage director, Mr. Fielding is also on the international faculty of the Michael Chekhov Association (MICHA), the faculty of New England Conservatory of Music, and frequently teaches master classes in Europe and the U.S.=0D=0A==0D=0A==0D=0A==0D=0A=The Studio is also taking applications for The Advanced (Meisner) Training, The Chekhov Training, and other special interest programs and upcoming workshops.=0D=0A==0D=0A==0D=0A==0D=0A=Actors may apply to the The Meisner Foundation Training (and other programs) following an interview with the Artistic Director.
