SUMMARY: Holiday by Philip Barry
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Event Name: Holiday by Philip Barry =0D=0AEvent Url: http://www.artsboston.org/event/detail/441655517=0D=0AEvent Date Begin: 2013-01-10=0D=0AEvent Date End: 2013-02-03=0D=0A=0D=0ASet right before the onset of the Great Depression, “Holiday” tells the story of one man's undying ambition to live life on his own terms. Ambitious Johnny Case believes he's met the girl of his upwardly mobile dreams when he falls for Julia, and pledges to marry her, over her father's strenuous objections. With one more big deal to set him up for life, it's all falling into place for him. But it's Julia's sister, Linda, who turns out to be Johnny's kindred soul in this upper-class comedy of manners. =0D=0A=But Johnny is driven by a desire to “save” part of his life for himself. He questions whether it is worth living a life without adventure? Is money the answer to everything? These questions continue to plague the American consciousness, especially today in the wake of our economic recession.	=0D=0A=WST Company is proud to feature critically acclaimed company members under the direction of Nora Hussey. The design team includes Set and Lights by David Towlun, Costumes by Nancy Stevenson, Sound by George Cooke.
