DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Event Name: FROM EUROPE WITH PASSION – violin music featuring Stanislav Antonevich =0D=0AEvent Url: http://www.artsboston.org/event/detail/441656495=0D=0AEvent Date Begin: 2013-01-26=0D=0AEvent Date End: 2013-01-26=0D=0A=0D=0Apresented by Center Makor and Q Entertainment=0D=0A=Saturday January 26, 7PM at the Makor Concert Hall in Brighton=0D=0A=FIRST HALF: WITH SERGEY KHANUKAEV, piano. Featuring US premiere of three pieces for violin by Polish composer Bartosz Jazdzewski, written especially for Stanislav's concert in London in June 2012, including a solo piece dedicated to Stanislav by the composer. Also featuring some rare virtuosic and sentimental pieces from early 20th century European composers. One of these pieces came to Boston from Russia via Harbin (China) and later Siberia. The performance of this piece – perhaps its first US performance on a big stage -- is dedicated to Soviet musicians who fell victim to Stalin's terror.=0D=0A=SECOND HALF: WITH LEO LOGINOV KATZ, jazz piano. Featuring Jazz favorites arranged for violin and piano in the European Gypsy-Jazz style. This music has been included in this concert upon special request by Makor, after Stanislav's jazz concert a year ago in a smaller venue proved to be a rousing success. Stanislav's professional jazz background is unique for a world-class classical violinist.=0D=0A=0D=0AStart time:7PM
