DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Event Name: Stacey Peasley Band=0D=0AEvent Url: http://www.artsboston.org/event/detail/441656886=0D=0AEvent Date Begin: 2013-03-09=0D=0AEvent Date End: 2013-03-09=0D=0A=0D=0AStacey Peasley has performed before audiences and been a professional singer for over fifteen years. Lately her audiences are a bit shorter but no less enthusiastic. A teacher for ten years, Stacey is thrilled to combine her love of children and music into a lively act that engages kids and creates memorable and fun sing-along songs.=0D=0A=Starting her performance career in the New York-based girl group “The Chiclettes,” Stacey developed a deep love and appreciation for the innocent, yet catchy songs of the girl-group era. The beautiful melodies and sweet harmonies have been an inspiration in her songwriting.=0D=0A=As a member of the Chiclettes, she has appeared on stages such as the Continental Airlines arena in New Jersey, Foxwoods Resort and Casino, Westbury Music Fair, the Oakdale Theater, the Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, and numerous festivals, events, and parties. She also spent some time as a backup singer for Lou Christie and appeared on the widely aired national PBS tribute “Rock, Rhythm, and Doo Wop” as well as New York City's “Doo Wop Shop with Don K. Reed.”=0D=0A=Throughout her career she has performed numerous musical styles – classic rock, pop, disco/dance, oldies and standards – but in 2005, sparked by the musical bond she shared with her oldest child by attending shows and listening to children's artists together, Stacey began to adapt her craft to Children's Music.=0D=0A=Parenting has been her newest inspiration. Stacey cherishes the musical moments she has shared with her two children, and now brings the same joy of song to other families. Stacey has yet to come across a child that doesn't respond to music in some way — and that's exactly the type of audience she wants to engage and entertain!
