Our literary tour highlights the homes and haunts of such great Victorians as Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Henry David Thoreau, Louisa May Alcott, Henry James and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Individually, they were writers and poets without peer. Collectively, they made Boston the epicenter of American Letters and earned it the nickname 'the Athens of America'. Come along to discover a modest brick building that went from being an apothecary's shop to the center of literary achievement in the USA. Learn about the Saturday Club and where they met. Join your Boston By Foot guide for a walking tour of literary Boston in Victorian times.=0D=0A=0D=0AStart time:10:00am
