Trumpeter Tiger Okoshi will join the quartet for the performance. The program will feature an eclectic repertoire, including original compositions such as the salsa-flavored “The Night I Met Eddie Palmieri” and a second-line tribute to the Crescent City “New O.” The CMQ with trumpet mas¬ter Okoshi will also play select “standards” from the Jazz canon, including classic ballads and up-tempo instrumentals by composers such as Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk, and Charlie Parker.=0D=0A=0D=0AStart time:12:30 p.m.
