SUMMARY:Private Fears in Public Places
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Event Name: Private Fears in Public Places=0D=0AEvent Url: http://www.artsboston.org/event/detail/55197=0D=0AEvent Date Begin: 2010-02-12=0D=0AEvent Date End: 2010-03-06=0D=0A=0D=0AAlan Ayckbourn's PRIVATE FEARS IN PUBLIC PLACES seamlessly moves among the interconnected lives of six Londoners as they search for connections in a congested, cosmopolitan city of seven million. The story moves briskly between apartment-hunting, solitary boozing, dating agency disappointments, VCR porn viewing, and a sour, bedridden patient getting more than he expects from a care-giver. Featuring 54 scenes – some of them wordless - in 100 minutes without an intermission, Private Fears is not a typical Ayckbourn comedy. The playwright's best known works here in the US frequently feature heightened comic situations and farcical elements. Private Fears is a subtler piece resonating with both humor and humanity.=0D=0A=Media Reviews:=0D=0A==0D=0A=Edge Boston=0D=0A=Boston.com=0D=0A=The Arts Fuse=0D=0A=Boston Theatre Review=0D=0A=The Phoenix=0D=0A= =0D=0A=0D=0AStart time:Wednesday & Thursday @ 7:30 PM Friday @ 8 PM Saturday @ 4 & 8 PM Sunday @ 4 PM
