Debussy's Paris: Art, Music, and Sounds of the CityPresented by Smith College Museum of Art at Smith College Museum of Art February 2-June 10, 2012 In honor of the 150th anniversary of the composer and musician Claude Debussy’s birth, the exhibition—drawing largely from the Museum’s permanent collection—explores the relationship between his music and the artistic developments that revolutionized the world of painting in his time, particularly the French Impressionist movement.
