Absolutely fabulous, from stem to stern, from up to down, inside/outside, every which way. Great performances, great set, great staging -- creme de la creme. Wow.

I saw the performance on Friday. I was amazed how difficult the score is for both the singers & the orchestra. Shostakovitch was 22 when he wrote it & it feels like an opera written by someone... Expand
