Those that have experienced the primal force of Kodo will never forget it. The traditional Japanese drum, the taiko, is at the heart of the Kodo experience. Kodo has toured the world for more than 25 years, all the while keeping their eyes and ears open. As a result they are both preservers of traditional Japanese performing arts, like the taiko, and also an evolving entity, producing startling and powerful new fusions and forms.
