Join the Chameleons for a lighthearted, jubilant program drawing form the richest folk traditions. The program includes Smetana's Piano Trio; Ravel's gypsy inspired Tzigane Rhapsodie de Concert for violin & piano; Manuel de Falla's Canciones Espanolas for soprano & piano; Chen Yi's "Qi" for flute, cello, percussion, and piano; and Judith Weir's fanciful "Airs from Another Planet," an imagining of interplanetary settlers, many generations removed from their Scottish heritage.
